My Little Diddy At Work

Please ignore all typos as they were not mine. And I would have just put the link, but it doesn't seem to work outside of OU. Me, in a nutshell:

Imperfection

I hate that I continually fail at life, but all I can do is keep trying.  I often re-evaluate my life and see what changes need to happen.  That part is easy.  The actual change is the hard part.  I got a strange motivation that I wasn't looking for this morning at work.  On an evaluation, a trainer asked his class, "What will you do with the time you have been given?"  Most evaluation responses are job focused and rather short, so the sheer length of this one in particular caught my eye.  Then I read it: "I will help others, be the best husband and father I can be, and also have faith in my Lord.  I will learn from my struggles and others, and I will encourage myself and others to pray every day.  Learning my purpose is still ongoing, but I'm willing to take this time I have and listen, understand, and help."  I'm not the only person in the world that keeps failing and having to regroup.  Thank goodness.  I was so wrapped up in failing that I forgot what the "solution" would be - perfection.  If only I never screwed up again...that would be cool.  I needed a reminder today that I'm just human - wasn't sure if anybody else needed that reminder, too, so here it is, just in case.

Setting smaller, more attainable goals is my new goal.

QUICKLY!

Okay, I have 5 seconds to breathe (yet, I'm actually at work, so don't be too proud of me).  Let's squeak out a post.

I started OU mid-February and I am still at Saied's.  So far, in the most crazy week I put in my 40 at OU and then did 20 at Saied's.  Not gonna lie, I'm tired of it.  So, I'm re-evaluating things and may pull out of the race sooner than I anticipated.  I envisioned making all this money hand-over-fist, but the truth is, all the places I was cutting corners to save money took time and I now have no time, so I'm not saving that money.  Therefore, the money I'm making is just replacing the money I'm not saving now, so it seems circular.  I don't know - I'll have to crunch the numbers again.  A big factor I didn't consider was that this is March - April...SPRING.  You know, the only sanity before evil summer hits.  That has weighed heavily on me for the past few days.  Alright, done whining to the world wide web.

But back to that spring thing...I am enjoying all the flowers and stuff at the house.  It's especially fun to see what comes up because I have no idea what is planted - didn't do it.  See Facebook for my annoying plethora of pictures.

That's where I am in life.  I feel like I'm getting a pretty good handle on OU and won't bore you with any details there.  And, there you go.  I'm full of work and weather stories.  Yikes.  Further proof of how I'm so old now.  Got a birthday coming up, too.  Be still my beating heart.

Until next time...
