Work Krafts

Students colored the bulbs.  I made the garland.  Otherwise, this was a medium-sized, ugly-as-all-get-out white Peanuts-style tree.

Ran out of room on the 3D tree.  Had to bust out the construction paper.

Broken tripod, old ad sign, wrapping paper, plenty of tape, and new signage = mobile bulletin board. Decorate generously with tulle-esque scarves and giant butterfly.

What's that?  We could use another butterfly?  You've been heard.  Cut and colored the body myself.

After 3 months without a peep...

Wedding Napkin Design

Designed our wedding napkins and ordered them from the Internet for a pretty good price.  Guitars because that is an instrument we both play and we didn't really want anything too lovey-dovey. Of course, in blue and green!

Thought up the caption myself:

"The Kreilaus Krew
nine.five.(oh)nine"

And yeah, this is probably too many napkin pictures, but I really like them!

Wedding favors - Thanks for "bean" here!!! - (Totally thought the pun up the night before the wedding...)

DIY Boutonnières/Corsages

Begin with colored tulle (ignore hair comb and ivory tulle - different project)

Metallic star garland - crucial.

Smaller flowers for the corsages.

Remove from stems (Make sure this project is AFTER bouquets...)

With some floral wire and some magic, a boutonnière is being born.



Finished boutonnières.  White ribbon for groom, green for groom's family, blue for bride's family, black for usher. Tulle is on groom's and groomsmen's.



Finished corsages.  Green for groom's family, blue for bride's family, black for guest book attendant.

Bouquets!

I didn't plan to keep the bridesmaids' bouquets, just meant to give them a pretty place to sit during the reception.  Anyway...here we go!

Buy flowers you like.  I chose a "pointy" theme.

I decided to pick a star of my bouquet...the "wow" centerpiece.

Arrange.

Embellish.

Arrange all of them.

Wrap with floral wire, hot glue ribbon on top, then you're done!  With that one...

Repeat!

Repeat!

Okay, now you're really done!

DIY wedding shoes

Beads.



Enter: White platform shoes.



Slingback, peeptoe, platform white shoes, to be exact.



Enter: Earrings cut by wire cutters to become jewels.



Sew/glue jewels on.  For me, something was still missing.



Beads!  Hot glue 'em in there!

Final product - birdseye (But not my most flattering angle...)

Wedding "Guestbook" Letters



Begin with wooden letters (bought mine from Hobby Lobby) and you'll need paint, brushes, lots of space, and Sharpies.



                  

These are the colors I chose and this is a closer up of all of the supplies.



Test coat on the back to see what color of Sharpie will work for each letter.  Finally decided to let guests figure it out.  :^P

Coat #1.  Ewwww.



Coat #2.  Also learned to have letters elevated.  Important fact.

Coat #3.  Starting to look decent!

Coat #4 - really wished I would have just bought a stupid guest book at this point.

Extra coat #5 for the more watery colors and then we're done!
